Speaker Biographies


Casal_Antonio_

Antonio Casal
Managing Director, Head of Manager Research 

Antonio is a senior member of the Investment Group. He leads the manager research team and oversees Tiedemann’s manager research for traditional and impact investments across all asset classes. His responsibilities include sourcing, due diligence and ongoing monitoring of money managers. Antonio is also a member of the Firm’s Internal Investment Committee.

Antonio joined Tiedemann when the firm merged with Presidio Capital Advisors. He was primarily responsible for asset allocation, money manager due diligence, and portfolio structuring. He was also responsible for writing many of Presidio’s market commentaries and white papers. Prior to joining Presidio, he was a client advisor at Bridgewater Associates.

Antonio earned a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the University of Texas at Austin. Born in New York City and raised in the U.S., Venezuela and Mexico, Antonio currently resides in San Francisco, California with his wife and two children.


Anisa Dougherty

Anisa Dougherty
Vice President, Impact Investments

Anisa is a Vice President of Tiedemann Advisors and a member of the Investment Team, with direct responsibility for manager research and due diligence. Anisa joined Tiedemann Advisors in January 2018 in the partnership with Threshold Group were she had served as an Impact Investing Strategist for nearly 2 years.

At Threshold Group, Anisa was a member of the Investment Management & Research team, and conducted research across asset classes and impact themes to support Threshold’s impact investing clients. Prior to Threshold, Anisa worked as a policy analyst for climate organizations, such as the NRDC, as well as consultant for impact investment organizations, including Tideline, Developing World Markets and Imprint Capital. During this time, she has focused on developing investment strategies across multiple themes, including low carbon investment strategies, agriculture and smallholder farm finance, education, health, and community finance.

Anisa received a bachelor’s degree from Bryn Mawr College and a Master of Public Policy from the Goldman School at University of California, Berkeley.

Kent Insley
Chief Investment Officer

Kent is the Chief Investment Officer of Tiedemann Advisors and a senior member of the firm’s internal Investment Committee. As CIO, Kent is responsible for overseeing all functions of the investment process related to asset allocation and implementation for both traditional and impact investments.

Prior to joining Tiedemann in 2004, Kent worked as a fixed-income specialist with Millennium Partners LP, a New York-based hedge fund, with more than $4 billion in assets under management at the time. Kent’s responsibilities included financing high-grade, high-yield and international fixed-income portfolios, generating risk and profit/loss reports on derivatives portfolios, and various other aspects of Millennium’s daily business operations. Kent also served as a client representative at MFS Investment Management in Boston, Massachusetts.

Kent earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and currently resides in Larchmont, New York, with his wife and children.
