Jo Anna Fellon

Jo Anna Fellon is a partner at Friedman LLP with more than ten years of experience in public accounting. Her thoughtful, proactive and highly personalized approach has shaped longstanding client relationships among corporate entities, mid-sized businesses and high-net-worth families.

Jo Anna's expertise includes:

  • Guiding high-net-worth individuals, family offices and family groups through the complexities of tax and estate planning
  • Strategizing with family-owned enterprises throughout the succession planning process, in anticipation of liquidity events
  • Providing federal and multi-state tax return compliance services for closely-held and publicly traded companies
  • Consulting on ASC 740 and Fin 48 issues for domestic and multi-national firms
  • Advising private equity funds and businesses on a variety of technical accounting matters

Jo Anna was named one of NJBIZ's top "Forty Under 40" and pioneered the firm's participation in the national Rainmaker Academy. Brandon Baker

Brandon Baker
CPA, Partner, Trust, Estate and Gift Tax Practice Leader, Friedman LLP

Brandon Baker is a partner at Friedman LLP and leader of the firms Estate & Trust practice. He has more than 15 years of experience working with families of multi-generational wealth and guides clients navigating the federal and state income tax challenges that relate to closely held business interests, inherited wealth and transfer tax matters.

Experience:

Brandon spent six years in the private wealth practice of a Big Four accounting firm where he handled individual, partnership, estate, gift and fiduciary tax compliance work and developed training materials for internal education programs. Prior to a career in public accounting he spent years in the multi-family office sector, working with families to design wealth transfer strategies and administering trusts and family limited partnerships.

Brandon's expertise includes:

  • Working with owners of pass-through entities to manage federal and multi-state income tax liabilities and cash flow from entities to partners and shareholders
  • Advising families on the formation, operation and dissolution of family limited partnerships
  • Advising clients on multi-generational transfer tax strategies, including sales to grantor trusts,
  • GRATs and intra-family loans
  • Estate, gift tax and fiduciary income tax compliance, including gift tax disclosure issues arising from the transfers of carried interests by private equity principals
